the process

Montesecondo represents the purest expression of the Sangiovese grape that this earth produces. The aging process occurs in cement tanks, allowing the grapes tannin to soften, leaving space for the fruit to express itself and giving light to the wine. The grapes, 100% Sangiovese, come from our younger vines with a planting density of 6250 plants per hectare.

Perrini Negroamaro

the process

The fruit is harvested by hand into small baskets and whisked to the winery to cool down before crushing. The grapes are pressed and the juice fermented without stems with natural yeasts in stainless steel tanks. Maceration lasts 12-14 days and temperatures are monitored throughout. The wine is aged in stainless steel tank.
