The Ferm’s take:

“This graceful red is very upfront with appeasing plum and cherry notes. The acidity is pleasantly hidden in the finishing notes of spice. Pair it with a peppery brochette and a walk around our beautiful Alpharetta square.”

🤝 Producer: Valpocilella from Monte Dall'Ora

🏆 Classification: Valpolicella Ripasso DOC Classico Superiore 2017 Denominazione Origine Controllata

🍷 Type of Wine: This biodynamic natural red wine is medium-bodied, finishing dry on the pallet.

📝 Description: Ruby red color. On the nose, it displays perfumes of ripe fruits, such as plums, cherries and spices. On the palate long freshness and balsamic notes. Extremely persistent, balanced and elegant. Serving suggestions: Excellent with aged cheese, delightful with or after a pasta dinner.

🇮🇹 Area of Origin: From the Italian vineyards of Monte Dall’Ora in the Heart of Valpolicella classica zone, which enjoys excellent exposure to sunlight and has a limestone soil of Eocene origin. The vines are cultivated using organic and biodynamic methods.

🍇 Grape Varieties: 40% Corvina, 30% Corvinone, 20% Rondinella, 10% Molinara and Oseleta.

🍂 Vintner Harvest Notes: The harvest begin between the last week of September and the first week of October , only by hand, in cases of 20kg. Crushing is done in the same day.

Vinification and Aging: We use the traditional method of Ripasso: in February we take Valpolicella classico and we make a second natural fermentation for 7 days over the rich skin of the grapes used for production of Recioto della Valpolicella. Vintage 2017 was fresh and balanced, it can give to this wine a big structure and a very long life. Maturation was in oak barrels for 6 months and subsequently in bottle for 8 months before shipping to shops around the world, and hopefully near you!

😂 Fun Facts About Monte Dall'Ora: The vineyard puppy is named Vladimir, and he loves playing with his old soccer/futball outside of the winery in front of a crowd.
